Good job! No issues, you installed it properly. That is exactly what the tape is for
How do you like?

Thanks TK - it is a great kit - the sound alone is worth the $$ and I can feel a bit more power low down. What I also like is that the filter is sitting high so the heavy rains in my area won't be a issue.
Just struggling with the ECU bracket - tried everything but the bracket sways a lot - have decided to leave ECU is stock box - do you have any tips - I did made sure that the bracket was securely fitted in the bottom grommet.
Yeah, you just have to crank down the bolt onto the rubber grommet. It will move a little, but should be plenty stiff.

Still enjoing the SRI - only have one little concern, the thermal tape which I sticked to the hose is getting a loose - it is still in place but don't know for how long - any suggestion - thanks
There should have been 2 pieces in the box. Put one on the intake and one on the rad hose. It will loosen as the glue heats up, but it shouldn't move. So either way really

Is there much of a difference between the SRI or CAI?
I live in the Northeast, so it rains/snows a lot. Because of that I'm kinda scared to get a cai, so I was looking at the sri, but the torque gain on the cai is tempting.
What do you mean exactly? Different size, shape, design? Or HP? There should be pictures of both and DYNOs of both... Do you have an MT Trans?

Sorry, should have specified.
Is there any real world difference between an SRI an CAI in terms of performance and sound?
I know the CAI produces more HP and torque, but the rain makes me worried about getting a CAI, so I am also looking at the SRI. I know the SRI produces less HP and torque, but in the real world just how much of a difference does that make?
Yes, it is a M/T.
They will sound similar, but the CAI does make more power.

Get the SRI, it made a huge perf diff, especially low down torque - I replaced my K&N flat panel with TK's SRI - the sound alone is worth getting it :-)

The title says it all. We have a limited release (about 25) of our SRI's we are also changing the price on the CAIs. The ECU bracket will now be separate. We feel the need to do this to bring our price down below our competition who aren't including the brackets.
