Default Is my Forte LX, EX or SX?

It's actually sold as the Cerato where I am. But I would like to determine which trim it has: the LX, EX or SX. Is there a way of doing this objectively or is it based on distinguishing features?

The reason I ask is that when I'm looking through Amazon or Ebay (or any other online store), they sometimes ask to specify the trim. I really don't want to make a purchase of something that isn't fully compatible and have to deal with returns.

Furthermore, how much different are sedan parts from 2010-2012 compared to the 2013 model? I know for sure that the 2014 model was a major change, especially with cosmetics. Or more specifically, which kind of parts are similar enough that they can be swapped with a prior year's model or even the Koup?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Falcon.

Most parts are interchangeable between 10-13' model years, the biggest difference being the engine and tranny.

I cant say for sure, however if you have automatic climate control then I would say you have the SX model, along with the larger rims, exhaust cut out and fog lights.

Once again if you're looking for some parts on ebay it's always best to confirm with the seller, just let them know the model you have is sold as the Cerato, and the engine size.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Not sure about size of rims, but have the other stuff. Some other controls are absent too.

Thanks for the info.

Cerato's have different trim levels (I believe one of them is an SI even) but more to the point to answer OP's question it wont really matter what trim you enter on Amazon.

Stuff like oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, headlights, headlight bulbs, sparkplugs, etc. is all the same regardless of trim between 2010 and 2013. As long as you have a 2.0 or 2.4 engine. The 1.6 engine is an entirely different motor and probably has different things.
