Default Idea for the Forums

not sure if this has been recomended or not, but i couldnt find it using the search.

I think it would be a cool idea if there was another search bar where you could type in a State/Province, and or country to list all of the members that correspond with the search. It would make arranging or inviting for meets alot quicker and simpler.

I completely agree, I've been trying to organize it so that we could get all the guys in the Aurora area to come for a weekly car meet that me and my buddy started, every tuesday and I was thinking that it would be great to have a tool like that.

I always wanted that. the only down side is that it would take alot of work from both the site designer, and the members. currently, to list your location, you type it. for this to work, you'd need to enter your location via a drop down menu. which is simple if it was only the USA, but when it comes to different countries, it starts getting hard. and then it will also not be very specific, since you can't search for each town.

ALternatively, on other site, one member starts an account on a map site, then all the members can check in at their exact location, so if you wanna have a meet, you'd go online and see who lives close to where, then go back to the forum and invite them.

well it wouldnt have to be city specific, if you can at leaste track down by province/state/country you can send out pm's and go from there. some people arnt shy to drive a few hours for a weekend meet. I would.

If the forum admins don't execute this idea, I wouldn't mind making another site to do something like this. I'm partially a web designer anyway. It might be another forum, it might not be. It probably should be, since it'd give people the ability to leave messages and hold conversations. But I'd cater the site to the sole purpose of arranging meets between the people of this site. Promote this thread. If it gets enough members, I'll make the site. I'll even get an official domain for the idea, probably something like forte meets.com or something like that. I'd have to get a small team together, probably another admin and couple mods. Who's interested?
