Ok guys and gals, I will make this as short and sweet as I can.
This has gotten way out of hand. the "use the search button" response WILL stop. If a thread is created regarding a question or modification that has previously been discussed, the correct response will be the answer to the question and nothing more. posting anything that is irrelevant to the topic will result in a post deletion by at least myself because of a violoation of forum rules.
Responding in this rude manner drives away members and and makes our forum look like an extremely rude and undesirable forum and saying to use the search button does nothing but uninform the OP of their question and make yourself look like a useless member.
If its a thread regarding a previously asked question and you dont like it, then dont post because your not only wasting the OP's time but your making our community look like a bunch of dicks.
if you have any questions or concerns regarding this, then please feel free to PM me with your concern and I will do my very best to help.
I prefer forums that put a "search first" link right next to the "New Thread" button. Serves as a nice reminder rather than having members themselves replying like that.
It is also very helpful to post a link to the thread that has been previously covered if you are that familiar with the forum. Helps out a lot and in essence you are saying the same thing but being helpful at the same time.

I completely agree with you. I've been here since the start of Forte Forums and one thing I did notice is that our forums have been going DOWN HILL in the last couple of months. This is because a fear invoked about getting "Noodiled" for asking simple questions. I could easily start pointing the finger at him but instead I will point it out to myself and other members who feel the same fear because WE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING. We should be able to voice our concerns and communicate with the moderators & administrators about certain issues WITHOUT being banned for it. This message should be of more importance especially to the members who have paid the $40.00 for the Gold Membership and the $15.00 annually for the Silver, since they have invested some money into this forum. Along the lines of good communication, we also need to have good leaders (Moderators) who are mature and respectful to other members, REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION. In the end, I believe this will create a friendlier environment for everyone.

What fear? Name one person that i banned or gave an infraction to!! the term noodiled was for the action of closing/deleting "FOR SALE" threads because people were too lazy to read the rules or abide by them, so the thread got deleted. (admins agreed on it).

and you say this place is going downhill? maybe if you guys had reported threads of people TROLLING, then i would've deleted them. but in the last 2 month of being a mod, there were only like 3 posts reported and they were all taken care of the second they were reported. I DIDN'T have to read every thread.*and yes, i did ignore couple of trolls. it's been common practice to let 2 people say all they need to say before you close the thread. look at all the past CLOSED threads that we had.

Leaders? leaders is a role for your parent to play. if you're pathetic enough to look for a leader or a role model on an internet website, then you have way bigger issues in life than an annoying moderator.
and mature and respectful? sometimes its good to take your "moderator hat" off and enjoy the forum like any other members and tell idiots the truth. it's not like i was getting paid to do it. i was only there to "help" improve the community. and records will show that i did do couple of things that made this a better place. but all you idiot are looking at are the threads that i closed because they were NOT following the rules.
in about 6 months, the mods arent even going to be looking at posts anymore, and no more banning, and ya know what?? it will be like every other forum on the net. problem here..... most of you are noobs to forums. majority of forums dont even have mods that delete threads or ban people. they just remove trolls. people here take everything to heart! you disagree with someone.... curse each other out!! who cares!! its not like you guys are gonna grow a pair and meet up and fight each other.
now back to the op...... common sense should be to use the search button!! unless youre a lazy a$$ mofo! thats how i even found this forum. i googled something and the answer was on the forum! i mean basic questions like HID lights, or how dark can my tint should be, should be on any regular car forums. unless you have a specific question then yea, i can see posting. what the mods should do is, when you first sign up, send a welcome email, explaining how to post a message, how to use emails, and how to use the search button! that would save a lot of time and wouldnt clog up the board. cause now when you use the search button you get a lot of useless threads that have been posted a million times!

+1 things were getting out of hand and the forum was getting stale due to the amount of turned off newbs, fortunately it's looking like some fresh ideas and modifications are beginning to develop.

again, noodiled is only for closing threads, and looky looky, Arinesmith just "noodiled" someone because they didn't follow the rules of posting. So look at whos at fault before starting to be an ass to someone and flat out call them out. the least you can do is be subtle about it.
not for nothing, but you know whats more annoying then noob posts??? when people qoute whole posts!!! dude!!! we already read it!!! what purpose is it for you to post it again??? so you make me scroll down the screen longer?? a lot of you meatballs do that!! some of you people even go back and forth!! there is no need for that!! you want to qoute one line.... COPY AND PASTE!!! i dont want to read the op again!! lawd have mercy!!
