No sir, you could get our CAI and just cut it in half and mount the filter in front of the radiator...

Is there a reason you don't want the CAI?

Ahh, sorry man, aside from getting our and cutting it. There isn't much I can offer and we do not have any plans for a short Ram.

Thanks

Yeah same here with the flooding. And now that I got a new muffler, I really need a new intake...

Hey Guys,

We are starting to get some serious interest with Flashing & DYNOs for the 7th. So don't wait, get yourname on the list and make sure you have a chance to get flashed and DYNO'd.

Also, we just finished up our 3" turbo back exhaust and will be showcasing our Forte Turbo all day Sunday the 8th! Be there or miss out on seeing the 1st Turbo Kia Forte in the US in action!

Don't cut it

Just get an Injen hydroshield or some other prefilter. You shouldn't have PAID for a CAI if you wanted a SRI.

Hey Hazmat,

I think you should cut it right under the battery bracket. That should keep it nice and high for when it floods in your area and then the 2nd half will drop back in with the coupler easily. Ultimately, you'll have to judge how high the water gets and put the filter above that level.

He has to, he lives in an area that floods a lot. No pre-filter or hydro shield is going to stop water from coming in if you submerge the filter end of the intake. What he is doing is very smart actually. It allows him to have the CAI all of the time and then if it floods, a simple coupler removal and filter and he has a short ram and then when it's not flooded, put the coupler back in place and bam, CAI!

I take it you have not seen our Turbo Kit thread or our KDM DYNO weekend thread?
