Default Pacific N.W. ?

We need to get something going for those of us in Idaho, Oregan, and Washington....before the wheather starts to suck. I'm open to ideas and my town will likely host real nice weather for another month or two.

I'm down. I have Sat, Sun, Mondays off one week and then just Sunday off the next week and it rotates. So that's when I'm available.

How inconvenient would it be to do it here or tri cities were the weather is generally always sunny in the summer?

I might be open to something but it depends on when and where. I have fridays and most saturdays off but never know for sure till the day of. I am also building a house so I might be tied up with that.

No, I didn't go on the coast cruise. I didn't realize how far Yakima was from Portland. Maybe something off I-84 and the Columbia River? I know there's a lot of open space to cruise and a lot of different scenic areas.

Hey SX, isnt highway 12 pretty scenic? Doesn't go up through the mountains and connect the Yakima area with I-5? I know there is a ski resort up there and a nice lake. I think I passed through there once when going to Yakima and thought it had some pretty awesome views.

Ok did some mapquesting trying to find somewhere in between Yakima,Portland,Seattle and here are some of the places and times I came up with.

Mt. Rainier National Forest
Seattle-2:30
Yakima-2:15
Portland-3:00

Mt St Helens
Seattle-3:00
Yakima-4:00
Portland-2:15

Longbeach Washington
Seattle-3:15
Yakima-4:45
Portland-2:30

Cougar Washington
Seattle-3:15
Yakima-3:45
Portland-1:30

Tri Cities Washington
Seattle-3:45
Yakima-1:45
Portland-4:00

Hood River Oregon
Seattle-3:45
Yakima-2:15
Portland-1:15

Centralia Washington
Seattle-1:30
Yakima-3:00
Portland-1:30

As for me, the only one of those options I would not go to is Tri Cities cuz it is 5 hours from me. Anybody have any other suggestions? I can mapquest them all really easily.

Distance wise it looks like Centralia is the best option but there isn't much to see there.

I think Leavenworth would be an awesome place to meet but it is so far from Portland I don't think Subtlestyle would want to make the drive.

Incase you were wondering, Leavenworth is an old German town with alot of that old world German feel. Cobblestone roads, German Architecture and if we time it right we could be there during Oktoberfest!

I think Morton is around there somewhere on highway 12, its just a small town but it is a semi scenic drive. As you head farther east on 12 it gets more scenic with mountain views, and there are several lakes up there.
