    New Member Introductions
Welcome fellow SX hatch owner! I'm also curious as to the cause. Mine has 134,000 kms on it (83263 miles) and is still running great, with regular oil changes every 5,000 kms (3106 miles).

    New Member Introductions
Welcome Rod! My car is stock, but I will also be looking into performance mods when the OEM parts need replacing. I'm still on the fence between coilovers or lowering springs.

  6. Tire options

    Hatch General Discussions
Keep in mind that the tires that come from the factory are CHEAP. They are chosen by Kia because of price, and no other reason. Every single Kia I've bought new, the tired that came with the car lasted a year at the most. Based on your description of how you drive, it sounds like you and I drive...

  8. First car purchase, rust proofing question

    Noobie questions forum.
My Dad had it installed on his 06 Rio, and when he sold it 4 years later it was free of ANY rust. So, when we bought our 08, and our 13 Rio, we opted for it, admittedly was a the-wallet-is-open-anyway kind of moment that all dealers take advantage of when the papers are being signed. The 08 was...
  9. Oil change

    Noobie questions forum.
I change it every 5000 km (3000 miles) and use semi synthetic, regardless of what the dealer recommends. I trust my mechanic a lot more.
  10. My 2016 Forte5 SX washed and waxed

    Forte Hatch Pictures and Video
Gorgeous! Another vote to get a tint - even a light tint will make all the difference. Plus your A/C will cool the car a LOT better.

  12. Hyundai, Kia recall 1.4M cars in Canada, U.S. for possible engine failure

    Kia Forte 2.0L Engine Discussion
They are replica wheels that came with the car - brand unknown. Colour is lime green plasti dip. t's not to everyone's taste to be sure, but it's different. Makes the car easy to spot in a sea of generic sedans/hatchbacks.
  13. Hyundai, Kia recall 1.4M cars in Canada, U.S. for possible engine failure

    Kia Forte 2.0L Engine Discussion
My Forte5 has the regular fuel injected 2.4, and not the GDI 2.4. Hopefully I've escaped, but won't be surprised if my dealer contacts me. Still happy with my vehicle, and will still consider another KIA when this one needs replacing.

For autocross, it's all about tires and suspension. I see no reason you can't have a blast with a Forte!
  17. Winter tire

    Hatch General Discussion
I've got BFG Winter Slalom on our 2011 SX, went with the smaller 16 inch size on steel rims for the winter. These tires are amazing - deep snow, freezing rain, sleet, slush............it sticks to everything and has no issues at all. Best part is the price was slightly less the the Pirelli...

  19. Just reached the point of no return... what's your odometer look like?

    Sedan General Discussion
I love threads like this! Gives me some hope that my car will last a long time. Currently at around 93,000 kms, and running like a top. Only complaint is the stock suspension sucks. The rear end is all over the place on bumpy roads.
  20. Monroe or kyb?

Wouldn't it be better to go with a quality coilover setup?
