I think your missing a 1 in your 5th gear.

 

Is there a difference between the 6 speed in the SX and the 6 speed in the EX? How about the differential? I was just curious because I've read the SX is running around 2000 RPM in 6th gear at a 100km/h where as my EX is running around 3000 RPM in 6th gear at 100km/h.

 

Yes there is a difference -- they don't appear to be the same tranny.

The SX 6 spd has different gearing AND has two differential ratios: 4.063:1 (1,2, R) and 2.955:1 (3, 4, 5, 6).

The EX 6 spd uses one differential ratio (4.333:1)

The EX will indeed cruise at a higher RPM because the final drive ratio in 6th with the SX 6 spd tranny is 2.449:1 (0.829 X 2.955) while the final drive ratio with the EX 6 spd tranny is 2.742 (0.633 X 4.333)...for acceleration I'd prefer the 2.0's 6 speed over the 2.4's!
