i've also been waiting for info on the 2011. i've been debating on purchasing a genesis coupe now, or wait a few more months for the koup. i do like the front end as is, i hope they don't change it like is reported.

The front end change is for the 5 door hatch similar to the sedan, I was referring to the Nav, Smartkey, Push start, ie.... I pickup my Koup tonight didn't know '11 we coming in August...

Yeah when this close to the new model year it's always worth waiting. You'll either find some new feature you like in the new model, or you'll get a great deal on the previous year's model as they try to flip their inventory.

My remark about the front end change on the Forte Koup was aim at the below statement from that article.

The five-door Forte debuts with a slightly revised front fascia (something that will make its way onto all Forte models) to go with its new more useful backside.

Maybe it will be limited to the sedan and 5 door models but all sounds like Koup to me also. If the front end is changed on the 2011 Koup, I will be buying a 2010 model.

The Koup will more than likely continue to keep its distinct and aggressive front to differentiate itself from the sedan and 4DR.

Being 6'4", I'm praying the new SX models have about 2-3 inches more headroom with a sunroof or at least offer an SX model without a sunroof. If that were the case now, I'd be driving one.
Me too man. I went with the sedan instead and love it. But i definitely wish I had the sportier look of the koup instead =[

Looks aside, better handling in the Koup SX vs Sedan SX too.

But I don't know how you guys are built/how you setup your seats but I'm 6'7 and have plenty of headroom in the Koup SX.

And would think you'd have better luck at the lottery than getting more headroom in a one year after launch slight retouch. ;)

Really hope they don't mess with the Koups front end. Honestly i like it as is much more than i do the 5 door front end style.

I've read the same rumors about the Sync-competitive system along with push button. Neat stuff but I'm really holding out to see if the rumors of 6-speeds across the line hold true.

The transmissions are the true weakness in my opinion. I may end up having to choose an automatic for my next car so I'd like to avoid kicking myself for buying a 4-speed auto when a more efficient 6-speed comes out a couple months later.

You must have some lloonngg legs and a short torso! I'm 6'2" and am borderline...can't sit straight up and have to tilt the seat back a bit to be comfortable.

All Kia has to do is lower the floor bulges the rear of the seat is bolted to -- that would provide a little more head room.

Well I think I gave up on trying to sit perfectly straight up in any car 16 years ago...always tilted at least a bit.

But yeah I am long in the arms/legs. I have more trouble sitting in an SUV/truck than a coupe. There's more headroom in the SUVs but there's just not enough legroom. Coupes that are designed where the driver's seat can back up almost directly against the back seat are what fit me best.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but if/when the Koup Turbo comes out would those of us w/ the current koup be able to have it dealer installed?

FWIW I do like the 5 door design a lot, though I prefer my 2 door. Should give the Mazda 3 Hatch a run for its money tho.

Everyone has different height proportions, Some are longer in legs, some longer in body, some are both. I'm the latter, I'm 6'5 and couldn't get the koup because my head rubbed against the ceiling. If it just came without a god damn sunroof I'd be fine...
