If the paddle shift doesn't have launch control it will be pointless, for loss of driver interaction is like a little better acceleration... love my 2010 and will hold onto it for a long time to come....... that is unless the 2012 turbo model comes to fruition :p

Too much extra money for not much extra car. At that price, the civic si is a way better deal.

... face palm.. how is it not enough extra car.. they revamped the transmission

and added in dash nav/ nice head unit .. the head unit would be like a 1k upgrade ... the tranny is probably close and if i remember correctly those prices are canadian

not to mention improved suspension..

the civic si.. really doesnt have much on the car the si is over priced

I think the improvements are well worth the wait. I'm particularly waiting for the 6-speed transmission and improved suspension. Plus, keep in mind that there are likely a lot of smaller tweaks that are fixed compared to the 1st year model. I believe they are also renaming the car to K3 but I'm not sure if it is in 2011.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those are Canadian prices, not USD.

I'd find it odd if those were US prices, that's quite a jump from my '10 SX 6sp. Is the gearing for the 6sp manual still the same, or did they tweak that a bit?

If you convert it to USD, that makes it $21038.97 USD for an SX 6spd manual before delivery charges. Like I said, at that price the civic si is a better deal.
It's not just exchange rate when it comes to american vs canadian cars. It's basically the same prices as last years models here in canada so you can expect the same down there.

I went with a 2010 because i needed a car immediatly and there was great cash incentives. I was going to wait until the 2011 but knew the interest rates weren't going to drop for a while and didn't think the improvements were that substantial to warranty paying an extra $1000 i saved on incentives + cost of interest

then go buy an SI cuz apparently you paid to much for the car you own lol.. the civic si is in no way a better deal man i'd have to say this the interior of the forte>>>>> an si interior quality of material wise .. looks are subjective quality really isnt..

shit at that price the cobalt ss turbo is a much better deal.. esp cuz you can get one for cheaper.. the new si's are over rated man

The decision on whether to get a 'deal' now on the 2010 or wait till the 2011's really depends on what you look for in a car. For me, everyone I know keeps telling me to get the car I want. I plan on keeping the car for 8-10 years so $1000 more for the 2011 is really not that big of a deal. But since I do want the 6sp manual and improved suspension and new interior dash, then I decided to wait. But if you're happy with the 2010 as it is then it's good to buy now since the 2011's should be just around the corner.

Agreed, to each their own. I would have liked the 6-speed but at the end of the day i needed a car and i doubt my dealership would give me a loaner until the 2011's came in when they have 5-6 2010's on the lot.

....on a side note I have gotten absolutely nothing done at work since I got my koup. I'm going to have to get IT to block forteforums so i don't get distracted all the time

Does anyone know what is meant by "Advanced Front Airbags"? How do they compare with the 2010 air bags?

Also, what does a monotube suspension actually do?
