I’m dealing with fuel issues on my 2015 forte 5. The car has 157,000miles on it Kia replaced the long block 11,000miles ago. The other morning heading to work about 55mph lost power started running rough got off on the next exit about 1/4mile later and the car died at the stop light. No check engine light at the time. Long crank and very rough idle after stalling. Had the car towed to dealership, diagnostics were done and HPFP replacement was recommended. Just replaced the HPFP, car still has a long crank to start, idles smoother than before repair. Scanned with my INNOVA and it’s still showing codes
P089 fuel pressure regulator performance
P302 cylinder 2 misfire
P2290 injector control pressure too low
P087 fuel rail/system pressure too low
There is an obvious gas smell around the car when idling upon further investigation I found that the fuel smell is coming from the exhaust and that there is unburnt fuel in the exhaust. Kind of at a loss at this point and I’m hoping for some input and ideas.
Thank you!
