Anyone got any ideas on this? I've got a forte with a 1.8L engine and it has an issue where the whole car feels like it skips a beat. at idle, in reverse, accelerating, basically anytime it's under 2500 RPM. some times it happens more than others. sometimes once or twice in a drive and sometimes about 10-15 times while sitting at a red light can't find a consistent factor. its definitely getting worse over time. No codes, it's not detecting misfires. I've replaced spark plugs, checked ignition coils, replaced the fuel pump assembly, and replaced the upstream O2 sensor and none have fixed the issue. the engine seems solid on its mounts. stupid thing is driving me nuts

Any chance you changed the MAP sensor?

When this happened on my 2010 Fortes it turned out to be the MAP sensors. Sometimes hard start, sometimes no start, rough idle, and no codes. "Drove" us crazy for months - first one finally set a code for MAP sensor. Installed a new MAP sensor and the car was fine. Good idea to replace the MAP sensor on old, high mileage, cars when they start acting up.
