Just turned 600 miles and my AC just does not blow as cold as I think it should. If I am running down the road at a steady speed it seems okay, but in town it just does not keep cold.
I also noticed that the fan speed gets noticeably quieter once I get above 35 mph. Drop below and it gets louder again.
Anybody else having these problems or complaints?

My '06 Spectra SX would just about run us out on the road and in town. Would have to turn it down to first speed or sometimes adjust the temperature because it got so cold.

Hmm the AC in my car is freezing, at any speed I'm always turning it down, are you making sure that you turn on the other button that stops the air from outside coming in? That could be bringing in warmer air with it?

My A/C is cold but not ice cold - wondering if it needs to be topped off?

Also, has anyone else noticed this? With recirc. off, my fans get louder/blow harder below 40 mph or so? Once I hit 40, they sound like they slow down, then when I get under 30 they speed back up? Only happens with recirc off, and always speeds up at exactly 30 and speeds down at 40. Most noticeable on '4', but I can hear it on any other speed.

my AC works 100% ice cold and i run its speed 2-3 constantly, 4 if i jump in sweating profusely from work. Delivering pizza its running 6-8 hours a day, no freezing either, 90-95 degree weather in NC. I think there might be something wrong with some individual ones or the above referenced TSB, but nothing actually wrong with the AC.

Some Forte/Forte Koup vehicles manufactured from July 16th to August 20th, 2009 may experience concerns of inoperative A/C blower, high/low cooling fans or engine starter motor. The concern may be caused by poor contacts inside the four (4) relays located in the engine compartment junction box as shown below. It is recommended that any vehicle within this production range be repaired prior to retail sale to a customer. Additionally, any vehicle coming in for service should be checked and if necessary repaired before it’s returned to the customer.

Follow up: Tech drove and confirmed the AC was not working properly. He pumped out, recharged and checked for leaks. He reported is now blows at 40 degrees. He figured it was probably low from the factory.
All I know is, it is alot better.

Great to see everything worked out for you, speedbyu!

I have no problems with mine; it gets really hot here in Panama and my A/C has no problems freezing me. I run it on 1-2 most of the time and nowhere near the coldest setting.

I don't even turn the knob all the way over to Max A/C, I just use the regular dial setting with the AC button pressed, with the recirculate air button pressed, and its freezing. I don't even bother with Max A/C lol
