here are the part numbers for the switches and wire you would need to do this for the switch you have 2 options 96710-7200 that switch also has the button for heated steering wheel on it. if you go with that switch you need to swap your trip switch that one has switch for true vision cluster on it no big deal only 4 screws to swap it that's the one I have. found it on ebay from korea its oem part I paid 95 for it found it for 75 after I ordered mine also on ebay. 96700-a7000 has just the cruise switch no heat button found it online for 118. 56190-a7100 is the extension wire you need I ordered mine online it was like 40 shipped. once I get lights to work I will post what led and resistors I used hope this helps anyone who didn't get cruise with there car.

Doh! Trooper on i-5 I'm betting..probably between woodland and kalama? I have had a few close calls around there lol
No. I-84. I was going to Pasco WA. The cop was hidden in the middle of the freeway divider. I actually maxed the forte out (115-117 MPH before governor kicked in). Lol.
But he clocked me at 94 going down the hill crest. I have no CC and I guess I let the pedal go down too much from exhaustion.

Great Job Wendle and Kiatech - So to sum it up, for non heated steering wheels, its

96700-a7000 for about $118 and
56190-a7100 extension wire for $40

And I don't need to order the led or resistor to make it work correct?

This is definitely something id like to do. Thanks for the info

Steering Wheel Full Option Type Remote Control for Kia Cerato K3 2013 | eBay

Is it possible for someone (anyone that's smarter than me) to use this info to put together a step by step guide for installing the cruise?
This basically is a d.i.y. for 2014+ cruise install. All is included including part #s. Any questions about something specific just quote what's got you puzzled and someone will help ya out.

Hey guys, I was following this thread and thought I'd try it on my 2012 Forte. However the clockspring's are different slightly.

934902M610 vs 934902M410

Do you think there are any issues with just using the 934902M610 in my car to try and gain the cruise control?

Well I took a chance and purchased the M610 anyways. Part fits without issue, but sadly it still does not give me cruise control so either I'm still missing a part or the steering wheel I got from Ebay is defective. However the audio and voice buttons work without issue.

well the results are in good and bad. good I have cruise in my car now swapping the switchs worked the bad the dash lights for cruise are not working so the resistor and led will have to be put in but if you don't mind them not working then your good. everthing else works like its supposed to. disengages when you hit the brake and I went about 10 miles with it on and it held good and steady speed. later tonight I will put the part numbers you need to do this .I also want to thank kiatech manny for his help to
I read through this thread and was wondering if you noticed if the forte lx, I assume, that you added cruise control for was pre-wired or not. I thought you guys said it was but there were a few conflicting responses as well. I appreciate your time.

Adding OEM cruise control to forte

I could not find anything on adding cruise to a forte that did not come equipped so I figured it out myself. It's very simple and takes just a few hours. first off I want to say, no ECM reflash is needed to make this work, simply make the wires and buy a steering wheel with cruise and you will be good to go. I posted pics of the diagrams I used and that should help, mainly what I'm saying is I have added cruise to my forte LX and if uou have technical know how you can too.

This is for the first gen^^^^^^

Yes please do add the DIY, I could not find any posts of anyone actually completing the job and making the cruise work so I was sceptical to even do it. I have heard the soul already has the wires on the base model but uses the same 2.0 ecm and has cruise available on the 2.0 manual. so thats what lead me to attempt it.

I searched all those part numbers and the only one I could find is this one 96710-7200 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=96710-A7200&_from=R40%7CR40%7CR40%7CR40&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X96710-7200&_nkw=96710-7200&_sacat=0 which is the first part number in the post. This part number is for the heated steering wheel, im looking for the Non-Heated steering wheel part number for the cruise control. Also I have the 2014 Forte LX 1.8L not sure if mine is alrdy wired or not....is there any way to tell before tearing it down? I would rather not do any dmg if I can find out by another not so damaging approach lol.

Hello Chris. Does cruse light on your dashboard work? What is the spec of your car? I own 1.6cc engine with 6 speed manual gearbox first gen Forte in Turkey. I want to activate cruise control. I just found the switches and clockspring on ebay. Do I need to order clockspring?

Thank you for the informations.
