My 2010 forte didnt stream audio through bluetooth. 2011 Does....and boy its made listening to Iheartradio fun. Either way I didnt mind connecting the Audio cable but this is more easier than finding that dam lil hole by the USB area haha.

Just thought Id throw it out there since I was so shocked that my 2011 had a trunk release handle in the back haha.:D

As always.....Go Spurs GO!! :)

My 2010 streams audio thru bluetooth. I found out that you have to hit the AUX twice.
blanthony
My 2010 EX has never done this. Do you have proof?
What device did you use to connect to the Car for bluetooth?
My 2010 SX also streams audio thru Bluetooth...and has a trunk release handle inside the trunk...
what make/model phone do you have?
No workey

I had to go out and try this and.... it don't work. I've got a 2010 EX sedan. With a USB drive connected it just goes to that no matter how many times it press AUX. Without the USB it just says NO MEDIA.

On a slightly different note I noticed that the 2011 sedan advertises heated mirrors. Although it does not say so anywhere my 2010 mirrors are heated.
not sure of ex models have heated mirrors but heated mirrors are activated by the rear defroster button.
Heated side mirrors are standard on all Fortes in Canada (LX, EX, SX) as far as I know. However, in the USA models, I believe only the EX and SX have heated side mirrors.

My 2010 EX does not have a trunk release.
i thought all cars were suppose to have a trunk release in the trunk no matter what kinda car it is

Either of you guys care to throw a video showing how you are able to do this? I haven't been able to recreate this, and I have a 2010 SX Koup.

I'm not surprised the 2011 has it. The 2010 Hyundai Sonata I rented last October had the same iPod connection as my Kia (I was glad I could just plug it in) and my phone was able to stream my media as well.
well I dont know about anyone else, but im for sure that my 2010 didnt have it. I tried everything to get it to work, researched it, asked my dealer and nothing and my 2011 streams everything, game sounds, Iheartradio, music, and video sounds basically anything that makes sound on your phone! Plus none of that annoying sound when your "connections complete!" ha
I'm pretty sure it's not phone-dependent either. My phone won't bluetooth stream in my 2010 Forte but does in my wife's 2011 Sorento.

I didn't do anything special, I just connected the phone via Bluetooth. Now I can stream the MP3's on my phone through the car stereo by either pressing the "AUX" button twice or by scrolling through the radio "Modes" using the steering wheel controls. The display says "Phone" in the upper left corner and reads "MP3 Play" in the center.

Your phone has to support streaming audo through Bluetooth for this to work.
I say it's no more than a week before someone on here hacks the firmware out of an '11 and puts the file up for '10's to use...

Not as easy as you think, unless Kia puts up another firmware file like they did before.
there was another thread somewhere about BT auto streaming compatibility.

2010's have this feature as well but it pretty much came down to the type of phone.

attached is a list - not complete but it'll give you an idea. I have yet to test this out, my friend has a BB 8900 that I wana try to sync with my car to see if it works.

EDIT: http://www.forteforums.com/forums/61492-post11.html

'streaming' is what your looking for

i have a 2010 ex koup and i cant get any thing i have a bb 8900 and the wife has a htc hd2 and i got no luck trying to do this
the thing is that it shows some phones only work under specific carriers (ie BB 8900 does not work with AT&T, but does work with T mobile.)

all american carriers im in canada.

im pretty sure this list is also out of date, its pretty strange that kia would release a chart (that'll constantly be out of date) instead of list what the Requirements/Specs are for bluetooth streaming.

i have a G2...I was playing a sound file someone sent me thru a text. I didn't do anything special. Just came across it when I hit AUX twice.
