Either a Crescendo bc5500 or DC 5kwhat amp you gonna be runin?
Eventually maybe, the forte has a decent size alt for the size car, Im hoping 2 runs of pos and 2 of neg will be good along with 4-6 batteries.Oh and are you gonna be gettin a h/o alt?
Excessive amperage, I am going to call DC power, Ohio gen and a few others for quotes when I get the money together. what does your electrical system consist of? Your amp doesn't quite do rated power but just one extra battery probably isn't going to cut it. What size power and ground are you running?I have no clue and I have tried to find out. But everything just says smart alt. Nothing else. And who did you get a quote on the alt from. I have serious voltage drops and I have a second bat.
C&Ds are great batteries, especially for the price, last time I bought them I paid $32 a piece for refurbished ones with an 18 month warranty, 94ah and 80lbs. Id add a 2nd one with the amount of power you're running. Whats your voltage dropping to?I'm running all 1/0. Added a run of 1/0 from the alt to the front bat. Regrounded front bat with 1/0. 20'run of 1/0 from front to back battery(c&d technology battery). Grounded second bat to bolt where spare tire used to be. And another run and then ran wires for for pos and neg to the amp. And idle voltage is 14.5 on a warm day. And up to 14.8 (usually 14.7) on a cold day. And I know it doesn't quite do rated but it's close. Haven't clamped it so o don't know exactly what it's pushing.
yeah well we have a "top secret battery spot" in Tampa. Last time I was there they had the 240ah 24" long Lifelines for $70.32$!!! Holy crud. That's a good price. I paid 165 for the 100 ah model that was used, but that was including shipping. And definently gonna ad another one. Had already planned on that. and if I'm not Goin full tilt 11.8 but at regular listing volume(8-15 volume range) it usually only drop to 14 or a little below.
