Anyone else's Horn stop working?

About 3 weeks ago my horn just stopped working, and it's never worked since.

I'm finally going to get it fixed and while it's there will also get the 4 speed re-programming done.

So what about everyone here, any problems with the horn?

Do we all need a trans re-flash for the hesitation? I have not really noticed it in mine but Ive only had it one week.
All 4 speed automatic 2010 models produced between November 2009 and I think April 2010.
I know this is a dumb question, but where do you see when your car was produced? I just bought mine, 2010 but have no idea when it was made.
Mine had intermitten problems when I first got the car but since I got my faulty sunroof switch replaced it's been fine. I thinkit had something to do with a short or something in the electrical .

In the driver's door jam there is a sticker with your manufacture date. It looks like "09/09" or whatever the date was.
Typically one of two scenarios: A is water gets in (even a little blowing snow) and will freeze the diaphragm and crack it. Horn will wheeze at best, usually just quits. Option B is the clock spring in the steering wheel has an 'open' in it. Also presents as cruise won't work, or air bag light is on. Either way, easy to diag and really easy to repair.

So is this covered under waranty or am I gonna pay out the ying-yang?
Covered under warranty.

WOOHOO!!!! that warranty does come in handy sometimes :D
I tested mine this weekend. Mine works...for now haha.
My horn sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't.

When I try to honk the horn on the steering wheel it sometimes doesn't work. After locking the car with my remote the horn sometimes doesn't honk. I'll come back to my park car 5 minutes later and the horn will work.

I took the car into the dealer today and they diagnosis that it was horn that was malfunctioning, not the horn relay.

There appears to be a problem with Kia's horns.
Do you have the 2011 forte?

I never had a problem with my 2010 Forte.. But ended up buying a 2011 Soul which has the same horn as the 2011 forte. and had the same problem you have.. And i've seen messages from time to time of 2011 kia owners complaining about horns. I suspect the 2011's had a bad run of horns.
yeah its pretty gay! it kinda surprised me when i used it for the first timer

I know I am reviving this from the dead, but anyone else have this problem. My 2010 has started having the intermittend horn issue now that the temps have dropped. Guess I will ask about it when I go in for the recall, but the problem is intermittent.

Bought my Kia used and horn worked a few times. Replaced the horn myself. At first, it was loud. After 3-4 uses, it became a weak, hilarious “toot”. My friends all laughed and talked about how cute it sounded.
Now the horn has failed again. I was almost was ran over by a car crossing multiple lanes with me in the path and the horn would not help. Time to replace with something loud and clear. I’m sure my friends will be most disappointed .[/QUOTE]
I've installed Hella Twin Tone Trumpet horns on all my cars:

Something I should mention is, since doing this conversion, I was made aware of a kit available on Amazon that uses a special pigtail harness that allows you to just plug into the factory connector and then into the horns so you don't have to cut the factory connectors off:

You don't NEED to use a relay but I chose to. This is the harness I used to install the horns:
