I wonder if anyone else has noticed the way the GT computer behaves. I already know that the engine makes no power until it is fully warmed up, there is no question about that. The computer waits for everything to look perfect then will allow the optimum timing, boost, fuel, etc.
I am starting to think the computer might do one last check before it will fully optimize everything for max power. It seems that after it is warmed up the computer wants to see a full throttle acceleration for a few seconds to verify everything and possible to verify knock/octane. I am not sure if I imagine it but the first full throttle application after the car is warmed up is never as strong as full throttle applications after the initial one. After my car is warmed up the first full throttle application will just barely start to break 2nd gear loose from a roll at 3000 rpm, but the next full throttle application from a roll at 3000 rpm will easily break the tires loose and sometimes do the same with third gear. I have the 6spd so I can't say if the dct behaves similarly. This is with the Racechip at 5 on 87 octane
So I feel like the computer needs the engine fully warmed up and then one full throttle sample to decide how to set everything for full power delivery. Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this as well?
