Been looking at Forte's and cant figure out what is attached to the key rings that they show on the pictures of the cars... What is it? What is it for?
is that a dealership key?
if so, it is just a way for the dealership to 'plug' the key in to a docking station / lock box so that they know the key is there for that car & they can keep inventory on it.
other than that, i have no idea why that would be on there.
I see them in alot of the pictures from the Kia dealerships in Texas (southwest dealer group) and for the life of me couldnt think what it is or what its for...

big dealerships usually have a system where they plug the key in. I saw one once where the sales man would type a car model in a computer, and it lights up the key that he needs.
