I have been having some troubles with the badges I bought. I bought the K badges and i have noticed them changing into a "salty" dirty look. I wash them and its not changing anything. Any of you guys having this problem or at least know how to fix this issue? thanks guys

It happened to my brother's last winter. The salt pretty much ate it alive. The only way to "fix" it is to buy a new one. To prevent it from happening again, spray some of that "spray on wax" on the badge after you give it a quick bubble bath.

Mine are the same way. I always gave them the spray wax treatment after a washing. Will see if I can clean them up this Friday. If not, the KIA emblems will go back on.

Mine are fine and they definitely got some salt abuse, although I wash my car once a week when salt is on the roads.

^ You must have gotten the "indestructible" ones lol. I'm guessing it might also be road debris removing the protective film, causing the salt to run rampant?

my K badges have deteriorated too. i'm in process of figuring out how to re-apply my kia logos......if i had known they would last this short a time, i wouldn't have bought em...... this doesn't bode well for the guys selling them.

i'm assuming the thought is to remove the old adhesive then putting some 2-way 3m tape on the Kia logos to get em back on? getting them on my car(along with "Forte","Koup") seems to be a good idea cause tonnes of people have been caught staring at my car wondering what it is.......

If it's some sort of "water spotting", clean them with PLASTIX or similar lite abrasive. Once it's clean wax them! You'll have to repeat this process every 2-3 weeks.
Been doing this for a year now and my badge look brand new once wax!

have you guys tried clear coating the K badges before putting them on?

If ya got the cash it's better to just go with the 3D Koup ones. More expensive but better made and don't fade over time.

I used a microfiber towel and used my finger nails on the microfiber towel to scratch away the glazed surface. I was careful not to press down too hard to cause damage, but the microfiber towel did wonders.

Wow! I'm pretty impressed that you made this. Honestly, it looks production worthy. I imagined something completely the opposite and expected a crap looking badge. Good work, definitely post worthy. Get that patented ASAP.
