Best Wiper Blades

I had the originals for a while then I swapped over to the Rain-X latitude wiper blades because I know for sure that the traditional wipers would collect ice and freeze up.

The Rain-X latitudes are resistant to the ice-up problem because they are frame less and they gave a clean wipe however it's been 6 months and now they don't give a clean wipe anymore.

Basically a good frameless design but the rubber sucks. I used triple edge silicone blades before. Again because it's a traditional design they would ice up but the silicone lasts. I'm thinking of trying to fit triple edge refills in to the latitudes.

If anyone has suggestions for good all season blades please share. I heard good things about Bosch blades.

I used to have Canadian tires reflex baldes, they did have a metal back end, but were frameless and real good rubebr contact.

My parents drive and Tucson and I have reflex installed on the suv and they're great.

key to making blades last longer is to try to not wear them out - i see drivers leaving the fronts/rears on even with little to no rain. The friction ends up weakning the rubber - as for frost/snow build up frameless + pop your wipers up when you park your car.

Try not to spend to much on wipers. a real good set can set you back 50-60 dollars.
used to have on my corolla*
I swear the aftermarket blades NEVER last as long as the original wiper blades!!! I'm serious too -- why is this? Are the OE blades made of rubber while the aftermarket blades are made of synthetic rubber? I'd rather pay $40-$50 for an aftermarket set if they'd last as long as the original blades.

It's true! I used to get refills, but they stopped making them for a lot of the older cars (I mean OE refills from the dealer.)

If you look at our stock NWB blades the squeegee is not replaceable. The other thing is standard blades freeze up (lucky you! no snow :) ).
I'm with you tebore. I put a set of rain-x blades on and have been super disappointed
I used to work at an auto parts store called Pep Boys. The store sold many different brands (Rain-X, Proline, Anco, Bosh, etc.). I tried all of them out, and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. BOSCH blades last a very long time (maybe even longer than OEM). When my wiper blades go out, I will definitely replace them with BOSCH wiper blades. They run around ~$25 at the store.

EDIT:
ICON Wiper Blades
^agree... original blades freeze. Kept them for the summer and now I have Reflex frameless that work great!
I always buy the Michelin ones from Costco and they are very good for the price.
BOSCH
Thats what I replaced my blades with just about a month ago..
So far they are working great.
I just RainX the crap out of my windshield. I hate having wipers on they are so annoying. Rains a lot here in FL and I can go 32 miles to work without using them in down pouring rain! I even do the rear window to keep it clear so I can see out better too.

I very much much agree, $6 for a bottle of rain-x even on the worst of blades does wonders.
also, the rain-x washer fluid is fantastic.
i just ordered some bosch icons for less than 35 for both with free shipping from amazon. i hate the rain-x personally because they dont last very long and the oe imo sucks worse.

it doesn't last supper long especially if you wash the car a lot or use the wipers. Keep re applying every 2 weeks for a couple of months and you get a nice buildup that last quite awhile.
I like Rain-x as much as the next guy but it's useless in winter. The snow doesn't melt fast enough to bead, the road spray dries or freezes on contact.

You gotta have good blades. I noticed that only my passenger side blade isn't cleaning that well even with new blades. I think my wiper arm is defective and isn't applying enough pressure.

I noticed the same thing at first..but after alittle use seems fine now.

Why bother with Rain-X on the rear window? Has anyone else noticed that the rear window stays practically dry in a pouring rain while the car is moving? Just keep it clean you'll be good to go.
Bosch IKON

These are the best imo.....
