ok- i just noticed something today while i was looking at my car in an entirely different light while the windows were getting tinted.......

i got big ole size 12 american sized feet-
and i am scuffing the hell (after only 7 days)
out of the center console by the accel. pedal.
and based on this picture

unless thats glare off the pedal-
i am not the only one having that problem.
*** this is GomerPyle picture- i'd have one of my own-but i dont own a digital camera (and gomer has such a nice garage)
(( gomer- if you dont want this picture here-i'll take it back))

so my question is- i can't be the only person with big feet scuffing the hell out of that piece of plastic-
so why not a solution?

1 solution- a piece of super heavy duty vynyl (damn spelling) put down after cleaning up that piece of plastic to new again....
oro 2nd solution- my fav-
someone make a metal (to match the pedals)- plate that hooks under the center console, 3M sticky attaches, and perhaps a minor screw or two, all of which will prevent it from coming detached and getting in the way of driving - while the whole time- keeping that lil area nice and pretty?

looks like a glare, and buy some nice new shoes. i notice when i get new shoes i more careful about not scuffing them up as much.

ok- so i am splayed foot.
thats why i love the dead pedal-
but imagine where the glare in that picture is.......
thats where i am scuffing the hell out of that place- and thus- i can see the usefullness of a scuff plate over there.......

and as far as shoes go...hhahahahahah......ummm......no - i can't do that.
i got big feet, big boots, and can't change.....
after all- whats next? wearing cotton gloves to keep skin oil from the leather steering wheel and stick?
and speaking of which- how do you open the doors/trunk w/o putting fingerprints everywhere?

Just get a nice chrome, smooth finish, dead pedal. And install it sideways on the area. Then it can't scuff the plastic..

My size 13 workboots did a number on that piece of plastic.
Could cut some stainless to fit that perfectly on the plasma cutter.

hey, i was doing some clean up work in photobucket,, moving pictures to albums and general maintenance, so the original spot that picture was in , no longer exists .

I can fix that in my quote , but I can't fix your post of MY post.
