Hey all, maybe this has been covered already, but my current phone is just a regular cell and i transferred my contacts via bluetooth manually, but i see all of these horror stories of downloading phonebook, etc. i am going to have a blackberry soon, and just wondering if it will download each time i start the car, and if it does, how long does it typically take. if it is short, i dont care, but if it is going to be a couple of minutes, that would be irritating. is there a way to download them manually and then shut the downloading feature off, or does it automatically sync everytime you get in the car regardless? please let me know if anyone has any feedback. thanks

I just made a thread about this the other day. i can't stand it. it takes a few min to download then for some reason after i make a call it wants to download all over again.

I guess i will just have to wait and see what happens. i am really good friends with the kia sales manager at my dealership, so i guess if i have problems, i know i have someone there i can talk to also. I just dont see why it cant save the phonebook once. it obviously has a memory, as it stores the contacts i have right now.

I said the same thing. The manual info on the subject is worthless.

i also looked at the manual too, it is frikken huge, but useless for the bluetooth. it talks nothing about the auto downloading of the phone book, only the ways you can add the contacts either by voice or phone. and maybe i missed it, but i didnt see in the manual for troubleshooting.
