Reading through kiatech.com (free to register) I found this bit of info.
**First**
With all the types of phones, different OS, bluetooth versions KIA is not the only car having BT related issues. If youre phone or handheld device has a software or firmware upgrade posted on the phone manufactures site ex: Samsung, LG, PAlm, HP, Blackberry, etc. and no brick related issues are posted youre probably safe to follow their instructions to upgrade youre phone or handheld device. The Phone system in KIA can register up to 5 phones. Through the controls on the dash it is easy to delete the pairing if experiencing BT issues. Here is how to delete the Phones that are registered. Then do the re-pairing and see if the issues are resolved. If not resolved the issue may very well be the BT in the head unit.
***Deleting phone***
The registered phones can be deleted.
1.Press the
button.
2.Say "Set Up".
3.Say "Delete Phone".
4.Say the name of the contact, the number of the contact or "Delete all phone".
5.Say "Yes".
