Kia forte crease

Yes I have the exact same problem it's pretty severe I took it to the dealership they told me they will call me in a month I also looked at other cars on the lot and found the exact same issue but Kia is in denial of the problem so I'm not sure what to do now

I have found the same problem I thought someone had hit my door but it is not dented you have to get down and look along the car to see it wonder what causes it and how to fix it

While I am not a professional bodyman, I have done a fair share of body work for rust and accident damage -- those creases are not simple to fix!

I have the creases on both doors, behind and above the rear wheel well and on the rear pillars (between the rear side windows and the rear window. With the cold weather we're having in FL the creases are more pronounced -- especially on the doors. I hope they shrink when the warm weather comes back!

i have the same problem in both doors and both rear quarterpanels above the back tires

When we took the car to the dealer monday they acted like they had never seen anything like it before. They took photos and said they would send them to Kia and would get back to us in a few days. Still havn't gotten a call. When we asked if they had any idea what type of remedy there might be the service rep didn't really know.

I have them on one side of my car both on the door and the rear quarter. They were going to repair them much the same way they do paintless dent removal, but now it seems I'm trading my Koup for another on Saturday. We'll see if the new one has the same.

Aiden, your Koup prolly hides the creases the best out of all the colors since it is white.

LMAO no!!! id rather just NOT have any creases lol when i get my car back tomorrow, that's the first thing im going to look for!

The dealership stated this is a characteristic of the car and have a nice life. Great customer service Now we wait for the service rep sometime in the next month to month and a half. Next stop... our attorney.

I have not seen anything like what is in those pictures, my Koup was built in 2009. It's been dipping into the 20's here almost daily.

Two weeks ago, I noticed a crease in my passenger door just below the bodyline. I thought it was from school, because it looked like someone gave it a vertical chop - it was almost 3'' tall. I showed a few people as well. The car had some light winter road spray on it, but it was still clearly visible.

This past weekend I had my car in a well lit shop and detailed it. I can not find that crease any more. I ran up and down both sides of my car multiple times. It is not there?? Hard to answer, but I'm not complaining hahah.

I swear my creasing comes and goes with the weather.. sometimes I can see it other days I don't its dam strange

Consider yourself lucky! Mine was one of the first Koups purchased in the Southeastern US (2009).

Ok, so first the service dept at the dealership acted like they never had seen or heard of this problem NOW they say that where the creases are stress points and ALL of the Forte Koup's do this. Yea right. The only response we got from them was that we could contact KIA if we wanted to but there was nothing the dealership could do since it was 'normal'. We LOVE this car but the 'oh well' attitude of the service reps really stinks. Hopefully KIA will have a better attitude.


Looks like future legal action. Anyone interested in joining?

Has anyone noticed creasing on the 2011 models?
