body kits not available, I know why…

I just got off the phone with the "Dr. Xenon" of the body kit manufactures "XENON". They produce the strongest body kits in the world, made out of polyurethane (not fiberglass). I've used it before on my 94 T-bird. What makes this material special is that it won't break and fits the vehicle perfectly.

Anyhow I was talking to him and ask why there wasn't any body kits and he said that he doesn't know of any manufacturers that make them for KIA vehicles. I asked him why, and he went into detail about customer demand. To sum it up, he said that they need real buyers who are willing to purchase the kit. It costs Xenon $40,000 to mold a body kit, so if there's no demand, then they go out of business.

If you want xenon to make a body kit that you will actually buy, feel free to contact them.

No offense but I'm sort of relieved that the hardcore ricers haven't gotten their hands on the Kia's just yet.

You mean the ones that make pontiac fieros look like lambos and ferraris? Yeah...that would be odd, to see a kia playing fast and furious.

I'm dreading the day I see a Koup with a huge unpainted wing, fart can, unpainted homemade fiberglass ground effects, ugly gradient window tint....and SX-R badges on it. I may run it off the road.

Wow… talk about generalization, I don’t mean body-kits to that extreme (gosh no!!!!!)…seems like a y-generation thing. I wouldn’t mind a decent lip kit from xenon… be no different than what KIA in Canada is offering (if not better).

But even that is considered to be a “ricer”….

I guess people getting the CAI from turbo kits would be also be considered “ricers” since it’s adding a performance part to a non-performance vehicle, and that’s probably the #1 rice-y thing, a intake to make your engine bay look cool. Performance exhaust is also added this list… What about the emblems? That would also be considered lots of rice for your car (although more like hondy-ish)… OH NO!! the “ricer” people are taking over!!!!

^I doubt anyone considers a lip kit or turbo as a ricer gear lol.

It's the "huge unpainted wing, fart can, unpainted homemade fiberglass ground effects, ugly gradient window tint....and SX-R badges" that we're worried about :S

I don't think we have to worry about that... I've only seen that crap on very old cars, not the new ones...

I don't consider someone a ricer for putting in performance parts. I know my koup won't be the biggest dick on the block, but nothing wrong with giving it a little extra oopmfh

I've never owned a car that had a aftermarket community, this will be my first. So, I am looking forward to making modifications to the car when I have more money and what not. Not giant wings and terrible sounding exhausts, but I wouldn't mind a nice exhaust with a CAI. Maybe put in a turbo if they make one for it

And this may get me called a ricer but I think the koup would look super sexy with vertical doors..

A Kia in the next Fast in the Furious? As of now it's probably not going to happen but Kia's future looks bright so who knows..
