I just use an obd2 and torque on my phone. I can sit my phone in the front cubby under the wireless charger. Gives it a lean so it's easy to see and cost all of about 25 bucks. When I don't need the gauge it's back to stock....on the inside at least lol.Has anyone added a boost gauge or have a clear way to monitor and check actual boost pressure on a newer GT? I’m looking at some upgrades soon finally and wanted to keep and eye on things if possible but don’t want a Fast and Furious bunch of gauges LOL.
Torque with an OBD dongle is a great option. Keep in mind it only works on Android, although I do believe it has Android Auto support (at least with Pro).Thank y’all for y’all’s responses. I hate to add a pod so my use the OBD option.
Thank you for that. I’ll look into them for sure. I fully understand the chillin on the couch deal LOL. In my recliner myself 😂Torque gives a bunch of options of things you can monitor besides just boost pressure. This is mine with the last readout it took since I'm sitting on the couch hahaha. I appreciate that heads up on the android phone situation. I don’t have one so I’ll be skipping that one LOL. Any other recommendations for a good obd2 monitoring set ups?Torque with an OBD dongle is a great option. Keep in mind if you have a piggyback like a JB4 or Racechip, you won't get accurate boost readings through the OBD2 port
There's an iPhone app called Car Scanner that's similar but there's no CarPlay support, and it's pretty clunky with a lot of spelling issues so I wouldn't recommend it.I appreciate that heads up on the android phone situation. Yeah I hear ya there. As much as I hate to stick a gauge in I just wanted to see boost levels. If I add anything good I’d at least know how it affected the boost level. There's an iPhone app called Car Scanner that's similar but there's no CarPlay support, and it's pretty clunky with a lot of spelling issues so I wouldn't recommend it.
I'd personally go with a physical gauge in a pod
