I found these Caliper Covers that Basically Cover the Fortes calipers and present a pretty face, similar to Brembo's,but not knockoffs. I would consider them. Made of Aluminum and basically they bolt on, without mods.

Kind of an interesting idea. Funny how the cover side is cooler. Well duh! The hot caliper underneath is covered by the cover! I bet the caliper underneath is more hot due to lack of ventilation.

I don't understand why you would pay $100 + for covers. Paint is $16 for a kit and IMO looks better. Not crazy about the covers. Others will disagree and to each his own

I plan on getting an SX Sedan in July. And I thought about painting, but didn't like the Idea of having to keep up with the Paint job every year.

i honestly dont see how this will reduce the amt of heat... but i would still rather paint my calipers and be able to show my work than put on a cover. especially not for 200d. i spent $15 total to paint mine. 7 for paint, 4 for the cleaner, and like 2 for a brush. IMO it looks to fake. like plastic surgery on a person. just not even worth looking at anymore

My main reason for the post was to get some public opinion to see if anyone thought It was worth it. As you can see above, its pretty much unanimous.

Now, hold on. If these were available for Fortes with 16" wheels, I may consider it. I've already had to re-paint my calipers and have a feeling that they'll need to be re-done every season.

Mind you, it's still cheaper to re-paint every season than to get these, but $200 is worth less to some than others.

The most important question is if this is worth it to YOU?

I'm sticking to painting because I think the covers are too big. I don't like how they cover almost half of the rotor.

I'd have to see the covers up closer to have a definite opinion. But for those of you financing, $200 spread over 5 years is an extra $3/month (roughly).... Just sayin.

^Probably because they don't find them ugly or useless? I definetly wouldn't mind stickin something on and not having to redo them every season. Plus, good looking covers look way better then a crappy painjob that looks bumpy imo...
