I find a wand wash does a much better job.

As far as the soap they use, I have no idea. Maybe your talking about a touch wash? I figured those were discontinued.

 

Hand wash only. I actually like my car. Plus I have accessories and washes tend to destroy those.

What actually happened was my car got really dirty. Like filthy dirty. Whenever I walked near my car and those side mirrors unfolded, I just couldnt stand the armpit stench it gave off...

So i was just gonna machine car wash it once because I was busy and it was cold outside so I couldnt and didnt want to hand wash it myself at that moment. Well, they had the express, which is the cheapest option, for $8. They also had the monthly memberships and for express it was only $22! How can I resist that?? That's like cheaper than three car washes.

So i got the membership. The catch is, you have to have the membership for two months before discontinuing it. So i am stuck with two months of machine car wash membership.

If i used machine car wash for two months, would it be bad for my car's paint? Will there be any other negative side effects from the machine car wash? I am probably just being paranoid at this point and there probably isnt a yes or no to this and is just a preference but it's better to be safe than sorry

 

I dont know how legit this is but they say hand wash is more harmful than automatic car wash. It is a good read, regardless.

2 bucket method and good tools are my method. Auto washes are not as horrible as they once were. But I am very picky Lol. Most people think clean is good enough. I'm a car pampering type. No swirls..no spots..no flaws at all. My friends and coworkers think I'm nuts because I put so much time and effort into it Lol.

 

I do both. If I have time I like to very thoroughly hand wash it but sometimes I just run it through the wash. I work at a car dealership so I have a free car wash to use whenever I need it so sometimes I just run it through when I am in a hurry. It has never messed up my paint but if my car was black id only hand wash. Sometimes I slip the guys in detail a $20 and they will just fully detail it.
