Q: do the halos require a ballast to use them? I bench tested using my Radio shack muti voltage AC wall adapter set 12Volts? Also has anyone bought replacement halos that don't cost over $35 to 40.00 with ballasts?

Also measured one of the CCFL halo rings. I measured 3in 3/8 outer diameter

Need help on which are better to buy install & use, CCFL's, LED's or COB's as halos rings & angel eyes?

Do the halos rings require ballasts or can one wire them straight to 12v?

Bought a pair of headlights for $100. The angel eyes work, the Halos don't turn on. They didn't come with ballasts. I tried a 12v source & didn't turn on. Don't know if the CCFL's halos are burned out or require each a ballasts?

My 1st set of aftermarket headlights. Don't know if the term is smithclubs?

Those are the same ones (maybe not from same seller) but mine & the G3 in the pictures match.

Would I need a specific voltage ballasts for each halo?
