Did you just stop the engine  If so it's normal. But it wouldn't surprise me that the guys at Kia Longueuil forgot to check the level...

To properly check the tranny fluid it has to be at operating temperature. You said you waited overnight -- did you check your fluid level after driving the car for at least 15 minutes or did you check it cold right after starting it?

On the 2011 new 6spd, you can't check the fluid level....

on any manual trans you cannot check the fluid level under the hood, you have to check it under the car and unbolt the plastic with 3 10mm bolts and you will see the bolt wich is 17mm you have to make sure to check it at warm condition you should have transmission liquid getting out a little bit from that bolt wish is correct !. you car must be on a plan surface to make it correct if

And also on the auto, which I have, there is no dipstick to check the fluid condition or level. Must take it to the dealer to check it.

you can check the 2.0 manual at least without being under the car
take out the lower intake tubing and unbolt the 14mm fill plug on the front of the transaxle case
stick your finger in there and see if you can feel any fluid, if you can then it's good

hi, so since i live in denver i am told i have to change my transmission fluid with 31000 miles, 2010 sx sedan. cant seem to find anyone besides the dealer who can flush the fluid. if done any other way it seems to void the warranty. is this true? any ideas? aloha
