Anyone knows, or can ask around how much it would be to get the wheel inserts Chromed. Usually i'm not the biggest fan of chrome, but you have to admit, the Concept car Chrome/CF rims make it stand out. I was just wondering.

I was thinking about doing this too..
if you google you'll find a few companys that chrome plastic.. you send them parts they chrome them..
a couple of companys out there with a few methods of chrome to plastic not sure which one works better.

ok just found a place that will do this and its about 25 to 30 for each insert.. not too bad since the inserts new cost 40 dollars lol I just had to buy one last week.

I'd not go with chrome paint, it just never looks like real chrome IMO
^^^
well the plastic chrome looks more like real chrome tell it gets old or flakes.. and then lol yeah neither of them look very good..
and for the price Idk if it would be worth doing, like 5 times 30 for one wheel.
it would be cheaper to just find another set of wheels but on the other hand if you did chrome the inserts you'll have something not to many people have.
anybody talented enough to photoshop what chrome inserts might look like?
There are lots of new, good looking wheels available for the price you're gonna pay to have your inserts chromed. Durability would be my main concern...I'm not sure you're gonna like the looks of it long term when it starts getting rock pits / chips.
If you use an scissors and an xacto knife [or sharp blade] you can use chrome tape: Deda Elementi Tape Chrome in Tree Fort Bikes Bar Tape (cat176)
and give your wheels a nice chrome look. Plus the process should be reversible [remove the tape]. If it gets scratched up - simply re-tape.
I too had thought about doing this.........
I would also like to see what chrome inserts look like on the koup? photoshop anyone????

Look up the concept KOUP pictures, they're chromed
After Painting my inserts and being one with them, I can tell you confidently that chroming them will not be a good idea, that chrome will chip off very easily, and the cost alone is not worth it. If you were chroming the rim, that would stay, but the plastic inserts are very fragile, and easily chrome will be scuffed off.

I would advice against it.
chrome the wheel and paint the plastics like black or something....
Hey everyone, I just got back from my local shop and there is a new product on the market that will let you chrome plastic reliably. Give me a day or so to get the name again and I'll get back to you but seriously, I was really intrigued by this stuff as was the shop I was at. I'm gonna get a few things done to see how it turns out.
duplicolo makes a paint that makes it look chrome

I already got made fun of for mentioning chrome paint.
Anything that is different from what everyone else has is always worth the time to try, but I agree with the posts that mention getting new wheels. I have found some wheels that would look really good on our cars....
What about getting brushed aluminum inserts made? It'll probably be pricey but I beat it would look pretty slick.
