So this thread guys and gals was only made to give you an idea of the work that I personally have to do to get this beast running again. If I choose to go low compression this will be the thread to check out. If I go with a polished head this is were to look at. Can I say soon to be Turbo ready? I just wont stop ;) disclaimer: wing zero stay out of my threads. So as many of you guys know I'm always mobile so I can't upload pics but I can on MySpace mobile so keep checking back! Crock - what did the sparkplugs look like?

Did they have signs of detonation? Or, too much heat?

nope not at all I will rebuilt later but rite now I have to get back on the road
I found a motor with 6k for 1250 not bad
Thats interesting, you think the plugs would show the signs of too much timing & or runnin lean.

woow thats a pretty damn good deal for 1250
so you're gonna keep this motor to build and put the other in there to get you around town?
buy it! and build yours
connecting rod broke huh?.... can you take a picture/video of it when ever your get it out?
Yes when I rebuilt It I will not any time soon time Is ticking need to slap in this new motor. I have a month worth of saving up
woow there is very little room for the cylinder walls..

1250 seems like a great price .. for a whole motor..

i would say my opinion on why the damage is the way it is but .. i'll keep it to myself

when you DO build the motor.. get the block honed.. just to be safe .. the sounds that cylinder 2 made when you were pushing it down were disturbing.. and were probably scoring the block even slightly.. which means more then likely the ringlands wont seal correctly when you put new pistons in
I opened a can of worms and we will see what we can do for you/ maybe me in the future.

Anything cost efficient at this time.
Cost and time efficient is that 1200$ one you mentioned. But what you do with the other motor will be more fun.....
I've heard really good things about MS, but is it even possible to tune it to pass inspection? or does CT have easy inspections, florida style?
oh and crock? if you're still trying to figure up the srt-4 turbo fitment for the koup, dojaman's got some good ideas, possibly could work something out between the two of you
Inspection? No. emissions maybe
the csrt4 motor and head is a world motor, and the nsrt4 is just a close match. If a stock srt can pass emissions in 50 states stock with no muffler, then you should be ok with a muffler. Im still researching this with some csrt4 guys. With MS you can put anything that fits in there...lol. I still say if you can get one for 1200$ jump on it and we could work on the side build.

Read up on Crock's journey with his car. Long and short of it he drove the hell out of it and pushed the engine a little too far. Now he has a new engine and using the broken one as a side build...should be interesting
what engine are you getting? is it a forte's theta engine or something better?
