Hello, I have a fairly new Kia Forte gt (1.6T). I will certainly consider myself a agressive/spirited driver, anytime I get in the car the gas pedal will be floored at least twice just for the good feeling it gives me, anyway I’m now at 27,500 miles with all scheduled oil changes done on time, a few days ago I was driving home with my girlfriend driving we pulled up to a red light next to a wrx and I told her to race him, threw it in sport mode for her and told her to hit it, she did. The wrx wasn’t racing so once we had a lead on him she let off the throttle, she let off the throttle around 4.8k rpm’s while it was trying to shift to second. The shift felt so unatural and the gears on after that even felt extra jerky then on. Later down the road about a half mile down we pull up to another red light and I feel my whole car rumbling,I have a aftermarket subwoofer in my car so it took me a moment to notice the difference between my car shaking and the sub shaking the car, once I realized it was the car I looked over and my rpm’s were at 1.4k at idle. I screamed;put your foot on the brake and she responds “it is on the brake” we pull over whole car is shaking, will barely start smoke coming from the engine bay, and it takes like 8 turns to get it running and when it did it sounded like a truck w headers. I got an obd reader and it gave me only 1 code (cylinder 1 misfire). Is it normal maintenance to replace spark plugs and or coils nearing 30,000 miles (also consider my driving style) and if so I have heard about cooler spark plugs? Not sure what this means but let me know where I should go from here. Edit; I started the car a day or 2 later and it starts and idles fine, took for a small test drive around neighborhood and drove and shifted well, check engine still on but shaking is gone
