18 june- picked up my brand new SX koup 6spd
and this morning for some crazy reason- i got to wondering- why my int. lights were not coming on when i opened the doors.

so i remembered- oh yeah- that switch up by the sunglass holder-
i figured i must have bumped it while playing w/the sun roof.

nope- the switch doesnt switch at all- it just kinda moves from side to side as if the detant thingy behind it isnt doing its job.

on a side note- what do you think the dealer/repair department will say if i hand them a sunroof closing relay and say-.....well- while you are up in there- how about adding this in ? hahhahahhhahah

also- i read earlier posts mentioning the window glass on the koup hitting the metal upon door closures......
how loud exactly is that sound?
is it one of those - you gotta listen for it or is it more like 'oh sht- i almost broke a window there' kind of noises?
(i might be having that issue also)

but other than this one and a half issues- so far- still loving my lil SX
(now if i can only keep the ricers from thinking i want to race them at every light)

It's a sound like glass hitting a metal object (Clanging sound) and yes it can sound also like I almost broke my window.
After two atempts the dealer finally got my door right, it was quiet simple to do. They just adjusted striker plate on the center pillar, moved it down a little now door lines up better and the glass now clears the metal strip on top of the car.
First dealer tried to adjust window no luck but stuffed up the door lining and scrached my window tint.

Yep, the plastic interior just isn't very forgiving in these. I had my Sirius radio replaced and the workers scratched/gouged the plastic just to the left of where the radio slides in.


BTW, I'd have them replace my tint if I were you. That's messed up.

I really get mad at some of these so called mechanics working on your car, some issues I rather fix myself thus saving all the heartache of finding something scratched or botched up.
The trouble is they employ first year apprentices to work on your car that don't give a stuff about your car.
Yes I am getting tint fixed by them it's only two small scratches but it shouldn't have happened in the first place .
Too bad about your center facia being scratched man that area would be so delicate to work on.

Ayeee! That's so unfortunate! Darn stupid service guys who don't care about our cars... well when ever they were trying to fix mine.. they had to take the door panel out to lower the window down some and stop it from hitting the frame. But he didn't put the silver piece all the way back in so it was sticking out some.. and the other door has a stab wound where he attempted to take off the silver part but faileed. UGH I TRY SO HARD TO KEEP THIS CAR IN PERFECT CONDITION AND SERVICE GUYS MESS IT ALLL UP! Lol. of all ppl.
