Has anyone done a clutch or transmission r&i on a DCT forte/hyundai? Just looking for any heads up or advice. Thank you.

Speaking of clutches and replacing them for a DCT... is there a fundamental difference between a DCT clutch pack vs one for a manual transmission?

Would any of the advertised aftermarket clutchs for the Forte GT work with the DCT or are they for the manual transmission only?
Right, of course lol. Looking into it more, a DCT clutch pack looks somewhat similar to a regular one but yeah, very different set up internally.
After watching this video:

It looks like it is possible to to 'enhance' the clutch set with better performing plates, that would then allow for a higher torque limit aka more horsepower without causing damage to the DCT, but it would be an expensive and time consuming task.

The 'reinforced' double clutch set that's cited for the Tuscon has the part number 41200 2D101 FA22

There is also the part number 41200 2D220 which should have the 9 posts and is the one installed in the BD chassis Forte GT.

The old 8 post Veloster clutch pack was part number 41200 2A001
