During my last visit to the dealer, I found that they flagged me out for the CAI and the Cat-Back. They didn't mention the RaceChip GTS piggyback or the new rotors/pads.

TRANSLATION: "THE UNIT WAS INSPECTED AND NOTICED THE FILTER AND AIR INTAKE WERE MODIFIED. ADDITIONALLY, THE EXHAUST PIPE IS COMPLETELY MODIFIED. IN CASE THESE MODIFICATIONS CAUSE MALFUNCTIONING OF THE VEHICLE, IT WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY."

Soooooo ... I was warned !!! :p:rolleyes::cautious::unsure::whistle:

So what it says is exactly what I would expect if I install aftermarket parts: They won't warranty the car if the aftermarket parts cause the problem...:)
Yeap, that's what it says, and it is entirely fair to me too. This is not my first car with aftermarket mods, so yes, I do understand and accept it. The only problem will come if they try to justify a nonrelated issue because of my mods. But that's a bridge I will try when or if I get to it.:)

That's to be expected? any modification you make, if it causes a problem, they aren't going to warranty the damage. For example, if your aftermarket air filter has a failure and comes apart, and some of those pieces get pulled in to the compressor of the turbo then they aren't going to cover the damage to the turbo (or anything else)

The other problem you have now is that even if you return the vehicle to stock it's still going to have that note against it. As a rule, if you want to keep warranty you'll want to swap out the aftermarket air box etc before taking it in for a service.

Also if they do see that Racechip they won't warranty ANYTHING in the drivetrain ever, even if you remove it
Yeap! When I bought it, I promised myself not to make any changes AT ALL. But my little devil started whispering, and I succumbed to the temptation. This happens to gearhead guys like me who are addicted to fast driving and anything related to cars (or anything with an engine/motor and wheels and can move as fast as I can stand).:cool:
