Hello from Jersey to all you Kiamunity people out there. I'm Noob here and am turning to the group in desperate times. I'm hoping I can catch the attention of the "been there, done that" members that will help build a thread on
(1.) Links to websites including, but not limited to:
--- Purchasing the equivalent to a Chilton/ Bentley/ Shop manual that's not partial info (like Haynes.)
--- Purchasing Clutch Kit in highest range of quality for the lowest price possible.
--- D.I.Y. videos specific to the 1.8l Standard (Manual) transmission clutch replacement in the 2015 Forte.
(2.) Helpful tips/tricks that'll assure smoothest route through the project at hand with low down time.

**In my case I have very low funds with no income until car is back to the daily driver.
**I have successfully changed clutches in the past, but this is a first for this manufacturer vehicle.
**I have been unsuccessful in finding a D.I.Y video for this era Kia. If one hasn't been done yet, I will try to create one myself to help people in their future endeavors.

I appreciate any and all information leading towards completion.

Big big thank you ahead of time. You are appreciated!

You might have some luck in finding DIY stuff looking for Kia Soul Manual Transmission videos and such. They are on the same platform, and usually have the same power train. Some wiring and body panel stuff might be different, but underneath the car it should be identical. Best of luck!

Curious... can you leave the engine in the Kia, to do a clutch job?
My Saturn SL, you removed tranny by itself, after some gymnastic maneuvering...
Where the Offishul FM shows to pull engine + tranny 🙄

Cool vid. Better than the Forte sedan from looks like somewhere in Asia & it's a short 2-3min doesn't show much is procedure video.

Mine still out. Been trying to save the $1,500 to get it repaired or see if I can fix it on my own & save some money.

Keep in mind that the video has been sped up. Total time is almost two hours actual labor and that's for a mechanic who is obviously well versed in this procedure. As for what seals, gaskets or parts that you will need to replace, there aren't any unless you have a leaking axle seal. If so, that would be the ideal time to replace it. Clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Make sure you use the alignment tool or you'll have a tough time getting the transmission back in.
