To understand what I'm asking, view this review of the kia sportage 2011 (go to 2:25 time left in video).

I'm curious if Kia uses the same steering system as that of the sportage. I will go check this during a test drive of the 2011's but just curious what current owners think.

All front wheel drive vehicles will have a 'self-centering' feel to them because of the drive-line. Energy always flows the path of least resistance and with any rotating joint straight is best. You will notice that at a cruise it will center on its own, but when you accelerate it will almost force itself back to center. It is quite simply a characteristic of ANY and ALL FWD vehicles.
