Over 1200 miles on the motor and now am driving more aggressive .
I have pushed the car over 70 mph on the highway and it handles great . From a dead stop i have notice its pretty quick. I can only imagine what a turbo and a tune will do on our cars.

I agree... seems like a pretty solid platform.
if your up for it, change out the factory oil.
When I got to about 2000 miles, I finally did some full throttle runs in first and second gear. The car is plenty quick. I also noticed some torque steer and traction issues. I don't think I would want a turbo on this car, I'm not sure it would be very pleasant to drive. I also brought it up to about 100 mph on the highway and it was nice and stable. It doesn't have the planted feel of my previous BMW, but it's not bad.
Break-in period ? Awww crap. I didn't think about that. Oh well. Good thing I got the extended warranty too.
For more fun: get some decent tires!
I broke the car in within my first week of having it.

Im thinking about it i might even wait till 2,000 miles .

Are there any benefits to changing oil after the break in period?
Well the oil int he car was from the factory where the car was manufactured. So changing it out sooner will remove any small shavings of metal that new cars and motors produce. Remove the oil, removing any contaminants that may have been in the motor.
? is yours an automatic or manual, and have your turned off the traction control and tired it... A lot Ballzyer
I'm going to change the oil at 3k. The dealer will do it for free and I may have them do it, but I want to use synthetic, so may do myself. Oil changes on this car look like a breeze.
I never broke mine in, i just drove it like i stole it from day one, never was informend about break in time .!!!!!
