Does any1 know where you can order new door handles for the forte kouP? im wanting to order black ones but im not too sure where to do that. idk if im going to have to go thru the dealer or what

Just go to a local paint and body shop and have them painted, it won't be expensive, just price shop.

Or you could take yours off and soak them in paint thinner. They should be black underneath the paint.

Aircraft remover is what body shops use to remove paint without sanding. Not "paint thinner". Lacquer thinner will not remove paint without damaging the plastic. You don't want any of these things around your car unless you are trying to wreck the finish. If you get a body shop to paint them, you should tell them to remove the handles. If you paint them on the car, you risk overspray elsewhere, and it is near impossible to paint the inside part of the handle if it is still connected to the door.

Just my two cents, after working in body shops for 10 years.

you could try to look around for black covers. Ive found chrome ones on ebay

thanks hammer. ive got an appointment in a couple of days and i'll let them know to take off the handles b4 they paint.
