My best guess is that since your car has manual locks, there's no electronic locking mechanism in any of the doors and therefore it's impossible for any of the locks to lock or unlock automatically. They may have just overlooked that little detail when writing the manual for the Forte. You should ask your dealer anyways just to be sure. If they don't know, they could at least test it on a couple cars they have on the lot.
