ok so i found this site and just wanted to get your opinion you guys know i love to just try things first lol check this out give me your 2 cents OBD2 ECU Remap Flash TUNING TOOL EOBD-II Galletto 1260 (SZC653) - US$ 38.89
x2 Reputable tuning suites cost well over $500. I paid $650 for the HP Tuners suite that used to tune my GM trucks. Sold it and a wideband O2 sensor for $800 3 years after I bought it.Handle it like a bomb and dispose of it very carefully. And let it no where near your ECU. $38.99, LMAO!
naw il just roll it down a hillmy advice is... do it in the dealership parking lot. That way you dont have too far to push it.
Piece of crap ! The only person i know with reflash capabilties in North America for the Hyundai/Kia ecu is TC at NGM . I'm not sure if he is doing anything yet for the Forte .ok so i found this site and just wanted to get your opinion you guys know i love to just try things first lol check this out give me your 2 cents OBD2 ECU Remap Flash TUNING TOOL EOBD-II Galletto 1260 (SZC653) - US$ 38.89
with all do respect fuck next gen motor. i called them the guy had the nerve to laugh after i ask him would he be doing ecu mod for the kia forte in the future. then said there's no market there. i hanged up in his face wtfPiece of crap ! That would be 'all due respect' . That is unfortunate , i have a great deal of respect for the work NGM has done for the Tiburon community . I would say i strongly disagree with his opinion that there is no market or won't be for the Forte . I guess time will tell if the economy ever recovers enough that people have disposable income to play with their toys .with all do respect fuck next gen motor. i called them the guy had the nerve to laugh after i ask him would he be doing ecu mod for the kia forte in the future. then said there's no market there. i hanged up in his face wtf
hmm just looked and they dont have a plug and play for the forte... it costs 495.00 for one for the TC 2.4L (which is was the closet thing i could find to our car real fast) And I bet that doesnt cover the instaler to program it... mind if I ask how much it cost you? I would be interested in this if it was a little cheaper. I have said before based on plug reading and what I see on the exhaust ther car runs rich from the factory. Also do you have estimated power gains. Not trying to be negative would just like to be more informed than "worked wonders" Thanks!i would get ahold of a UNIchip instead man those are all fakes my UNIchip worked wonders!!
*Q*
Ok , in lay-mans terms the Apexi Power FC is a stand-alone engine management system meant to totaly replace the oem ecu . Very much like the Hydra Nemesis you lose all OBD2 (on board diagnostic , generation 2) function . They are meant for a pure racecar , with no need to worry about passing emissions inspections or voiding a warrantyok so look at this link explain this to me in lame terms im lost it also states (no obd 2) Apexi-USA - Power FC "sitting down with a notebook and pencil"
thats were turbokits come's inThat is why a lot of guys have their fuel/ignition tuner installed and tuned by professionals at a chassis dyno equipped performance centre . It helps to have a general understanding of what is going on but all you really need is a good wideband o2 sensor and gauge to keep an eye on the a/f .
