Looking at lowering springs and leaning to eibach. I can see numbers all i want but in the end what really matters (appearance wise) is how it looks sitting outside my house/work.

IF anyone wouldn't mind posting pictures of their Forte/Koup AFTER Eibach springs that would be AWESOME!

ALSO if anyone has even round about realistic numbers on how much they dropped post settling (Month +) i would really appreciate it. I know they're rated for 1.2" drop but i have yet to find that accurate haha. If not it's cool - i wouldn't think to do that either.

THANKS!

The choices you have are Eibach, H&R or coilovers from a website like Kspec. Last I heard though H&R had to recall their springs for the Fortes but they still list it on their website so maybe they resolved the issues. And coilovers are gonna cost you near a thousand dollars or more.

I can't tell you how much they've actually settled but I've had mine for almost a year and here's some photos to compare.

as of a week ago h&r were recalling their springs. i just installed eibachs last friday. stock measurements were.....front- from the ground to wheel well 26", and the back- from the ground to the wheel well 26.5". after lowering them, measuring the same way, front 24" 7/8ths and back were 25.5". ill remeasure them tomorrow for ya but i doutb they will settle that fast. and this is on a sx koup too:D

I have 18's on but my tire size is only 215/40R18 and I believe Koup SXR has a 225/40R18 tire size so it fills up the wheel well a little bit more. Once I need new tires I'm gonna move up to that bigger size.

Also Koup SXR has the SXR front lip kit which makes the front bumper about an inch closer to the ground vs. stock.

The body kit probably makes it look like it is sitting lower too.

I'm looking more at wheel gap anyway but that shot of the sxr is exactly what i'm going for - just about flush with the wheel well. I've got the stock 17's. i think i measured just about 2.5" gap between my wheel and lip and that's monster truck status for me. looks to me that the eibach's are settling around 2 inches in the end as opposed to their rated 1.2? True/false?

No if you're just running stock 17's then you're still gonna have a bigger wheel gap than subtlestyle.

SXR is running thicker wheels with bigger tires. Therefore his wheels fill up the wheel well better.. its hard to achieve a good stance with stock rims.
