I haven't seen any owners post pictures of their Koup with the factory Kia Koup "wing" spoiler. Anybody that has the factory spoiler please post pics...my daughter is thinking about this spoiler but wants to see one.
Thanks!

There is a guy on Facebook that has it. Here are a couple of his shots.

I just called my local dealership and was told I couldn't get a price without giving them my VIN. I'm too lazy to get up. Sorry.

Thanks for the pics Shattered.Stars. The Kia spoiler looks good from the side!

BlackMagicKoup -- that looks like the Sportwing Koup spoiler -- I have that on my Koup too (I like it the best so far...LoL). The factory spoiler is a wing spoiler -- in shattered.star's post above.

See if your dealer will sell one to you at trade/jobber cost (In between dealer cost and retail) -- should be able to get it for around $300 unpainted. Then it will cost around $75 to get it painted. Before screaming that it's expensive -- these are complete kits that include the spoiler, installation hardware, installation instructions, correct wiring, and two new torsion springs (the two rods that hold the trunk lid open). It is not just a spoiler and wires.
If your dealer is anything like mine, they won't budge on the sticker price. Get as much as you can squeeze out of them for your trade and never mention the spoiler or any other accessories you want until the very end. Tell them if they put a spoiler on without cost you'll buy the car. Let it be the deal maker.

You can find the same spoiler on ebay for about 185.00 too 200 for the same spoiler, with the extra brake light.
You can get the spoiler like my with out the brake light for about 85.00 dollars unpainted or painted by that company for about the same amount as above.

I bought mine unpainted and took it too a shop localy and they painted it for me and I saved about 50 bucks.

Thanks for posting a couple of my pics SS. Below are a few more pics I took of it after the installation.

The cost for the spoiler (unpainted) was $285. I've seen a couple listed on eBay for $230-$250. It cost $100 or $150 for a local shop to do a color match and paint it, then $50 to my local dealer for the install. All in all, the job came in just under $500 total.

^^^Looks great DetourDave! Have you considered making your inside lights function as brake lights (on the trunk lid)? Bulbs and sockets are already set up -- you just need to run wires and install a contact.

Thanks! There's alot I'm considering, and making the inside lights function is a great suggestion, but on a scale of 0-10, my mechanical skills come in at maybe a 1. LOL! One thing is for certain, I'm going to learn alot owning this car as there's alot I want to do and I don't have the money to pay for someone else to do it for me. Thanks for the suggestion. ;)
thanks ForteSX2.4!
i'm going to Kia sometime this week and fix some rattles on this car. I will also get a quote on this spoiler.

DetourDave your car is looking nice. i like how the spoiler suits the koup. i will get it soon.

Gotta just laugh at this...it is an accessory...they do not need the VIN to look up an accessory...it did not come ON THE CAR!
FYI...You should be able to order the car with the spoiler on it before it arrives at the dealership. Mobis/Kia USA are also set up for that as well.

For existing Koup owners, this spoiler kit comes with everything. It's quite simple to install yourself if you have some tools.
I'm glad to hear enthusiasts are liking this spoiler too!

It's a great alternative for those looking for a stanchion style spoiler.

Shattered....that's horse manure from the dealership. If they can't provide a simple quote, inform them you'll find another dealership that will support you.
here is the one i saw at a dealership....not like the one they show on the website or in the pics you guys posted.... that is the only pic i have of it, but it looked pretty sweet and i havent seen it before

That aftermarket spoiler is well-liked and referred to as the "SI style" spoiler. It was one of the first aftermarket spoilers made for the Koup and you'll see it on several member's cars...Fas93 comes to mind...

Yeah, I've seen that spoiler before. It's cool. The dealer that I bought my wife's Optima from had several Koup's on the lot with that spoiler installed. It's the one I was looking at getting before I found the wing listed on Kia's site.
i didnt see any others on the lot with it on, but then again they didnt have too many koups. they were loaded with sedans. i am debating getting a black spoiler with my titanium koup (with black wheels and soon to be tint of course)...i think they might look pretty good
