I am taking my '10 Koup EX(8000km) in for an oil change tomorrow.
Is there anything specific I should mention to my mechanic? Any work
or preventive measures beyond a lube, oil and filter? Thanks in Advance

check if any warranty TSB are needed (recalls) they will need to scan/check your vin.

make sure the foam pads for the struts are added (do a search), check for any vibrations/sounds to have them look at it.

Best thing to do is when your car is about to expire for warranty - pay a private (trusted) shop to go over your car bumper-bumper (probably cost 50-80+ dollars) and anything that is outside of wear/tear have the dealer repair/replace.

EDIT: also hamilton kia says service should be 6,000kms. Most other dealerships say 8,000kms.
I know at least one other member on FF who lives in Hamilton takes their car to Oakville kia (as do I) service is great there - speak to Rodney (service desk), Jamie(parts guy+service), and Ante(service manager).
