I looked throughout the forums but couldnt find an answer for this.

When should I take in my car for it's first service?? Like how many miles?
And, what exactly do they do then?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but im not real good with cars....yet! :D
Thanks.

Well you don't exactly HAVE to go in for service without any problems. Differences in opinions in oil changes would be the first thing to go in for I guess other then any problems that occur before that

Your car should have come with a maintenance log shows at what mileages you should take your vehicle in if you want to follow that

i think it suggests 7500 or 5000 miles if youre extra rough on the car. id say take it in sooner than 5000 miles for the first though.

they recommend every 4 months or 8000KM here in canada

I just went in for my first one last week.

they topped up the nitrogen, greased the door hinges and did an oil change for $29.99

I was going to take it in to get the oil changed at 3000 miles because my dealer said its free.

Does that count as it's first service if they only change the oil?
Or, do I need to ask them to check the car or anything?

The first service tends to be free at many dealerships. Make sure to ask how much it will or might cost on the second service in case they try and soak you.

I will ask about the second service then. Hopefully it wont be too much.
Thank you all for your responses!
