I don't know but I will respond and post my experience(s) once the Boomba Ultimate Kit I ordered comes in and is installed. My thoughts are that I will install the trans adapter and bushings first before tackling the actual shifter. So I should be able to have an opinion on how much a difference it makes.

I just did the adapter and solid bracket bushings. It was good enough for me.

 

In my experience from past cars, just adding solid shifter base and linkage bushings take away all the slop. Changing the whole mechanism shortens and crisps up throws.

What does it mean to “row your gears” ?

 

I bought the ultimate kit. I wound up selling the adapter/bushings and just kept the shifter/bushings.

Everyone's preference is subjective but I felt like the short shifter alone was perfect. Also had difficulty with 5-6 shifts once I had the bracket on in combination.
