Ok I was going to keep this little secret to myself but... I really have very little spare time between work and getting house baby safe for new baby on the way so I am putting this out there to you guys and good luck with it.

I lucked into this site called carsponsers.com. the short version of how it works is you pay 99 bucks and fill out an application. They then go looking for free parts for your make and model from vendors. the idea beign getting the stuff out on the market so people can see it and want it.

So far I have been offerd free vinyl wraps... gauge clusters... and a universal lambo door kit from vereticaldoors.com. I just lack the time to due these mods and i would bet that there are very few forte's registerd with this site so you would stand a good chance of getting some cool stuff. I am sure that this post will spark some intrest so good luck!

just be sure and post pics of free stuff you get so i can see!!!

By the way I am no way connected to this site and I get nothing for sharing this. I am just doing my part to help fellow members get free crap!!

Pharaoh:)

p.s. i know there are typos but I am too lazy to spell check or fix the mistakes : P

Hey Pharaoh you didn't luck into it. They have been around for years. They prey on people that want something for nothing. I went to their site about a year ago just to check it out. They were calling my house 4-5 times a day wanting $$. I asked if there was anything available for the Koup and they said no- but they could get me some stickers and shirts! WTF? Yeah if you like to take a risk and have $99 laying around...do it.

So let me get this straight. You have to pay them $99 for an application so you can get sponsored? Doesn't sound free at all. It's got scam written all over it. If you guys do some research on the internet about this, tons of threads and posts about people who signed up and then have phantom charges on their credit card bills. The company also tries to sell you car parts at "sponsored" rates which are often at times twice as much than if you bought them on your own. You have been warned: proceed at your own risk.

no its my 4th thanks for asking!

ya your are on your own as far as it being a scam. But from everything I have recieved via question answers on email it seems legit. But dont come after me if you dont get a free turbo out of it. ;) I am just passing along something I came across. even if you dont pay the money they will start to send you emails with sponsers who they have found stuff for but you have to pay the money for them to give you the information to get the stuff.

here is a section of the email with the door offer.
"
shawn, you just got hooked up with a vertical doors Inc. Sponsorship worth over $400. One of the most prized sponsorships is now inked in your name! VerticalDoors and CarSponsors.com is hooking you up with a Free Universal Vertical Door Kit PLUS Free Shipping* If you have ever considered swapping out your doors with vertical doors now is the time to take advantage of this big name, big dollar sponsorship.
All Vertical Doors, Inc. systems are "Direct Bolt-On" kits that are professionally researched and designed by our engineers for each specific vehicle that we offer. Vertical Doors, Inc. kits are proudly made and patented in the United States and are bolt-on kits made specifically for your particular vehicle. We manufacture the best kits, with the best quality and the best customer service our kits are the strongest and most affordable for the quality.
"
I should also point out if you go to verticaldoors website the universal kit is 1200+ bucks.

Good luck and please pass on any information you find about it. I am sure location make and model amount of people with the same car all plays a part so first come first serve will also play a factor.

It's just a link to a thread at another car enthusiast forum similar to this site. Nothing pops up on my anti-virus programs when I click it. I do not have direct experience with carsponsors.com so I cannot verify or discredit what other people have written on the internet about them but I just want people to do research first before they jump in blind. When someone advertises "free" stuff but asks for your credit card info, you have to use some common sense here. I will quote a post from the link:

i joined it 3 years ago when i got my car.
it allowed me to enter my address in and all my info
they took my money
then i seen what i could order. it was ebay knock off products at higher then ebay prices. i was like well atleast its a discount so i tryed to order a few things
but none of the "sponsors" shiped to new brunswick canada. they said they would ship to ont canada. but id have to pay extra ..way extra. so 3 days into it i said i cancel. they said no refund

i called mastercard and did a charge back. then 3 weeks later they called and said the charges was valid since the car sponsor agreement was they would "give me a list of possible sponsors"

SCAM! how ever iv seen cars with parts and stickers from them wile in the US at car shows. but again the deals are better to just buy on ebay.

I signed up but didn't ever pay about 2 months or so ago. I received emails about decals that I qualified for, gauges, and vinyl sponsorships. I didn't want to pay 100 bucks for stickers and gauges I've no use for so I just forgot about it
