Well it's been 2 weeks with the kia forte 5 sx hatch . I have to say i love the new car.


Let me introduce my self. My name is joe and am the proud owner of a jet black forte 5 sx . As my username states i was a subaru Sti owner . I love that car as far as performance and reliability . Never had a problem with the Sti . Then a year and a half ago i traded the sti and fell in love with an evolution 9 . That car was a monster as far as handling and straight acceleration on boost. The evo had 450 hp to the wheel , A dream to drive .......But a nightmare on the wallet as far as gas.

so why go from a evo 9 to a forte 5 ?

1) economical in gas( evo getting 17 mpg) on premium (93 octane) forte 5 32mpg
2) reliability is far superior on the kia
3) 100,000 mile warranty ( warranty ran out on the evo)
This were my main 3 reasons for saying good bye to mitsubishi.

The whole design in the back looks so much like an audi . I know the designer of audi had his name all over it .I love the look of the car .I get complements all the time on the forte 5 .

I am also a BIG fan of the STi, it was my dream car I had a chance to purchase a 2006 with 400HP and a front mounted inter-cooler. But the Koup SX came with the warranty and the look i was going for. Congrats welcome to the Forums!

Welcome!!!!...I think this shows how far Kia has come when guys are trading over cars like that...It makes me, as a person who really doubted his purchase (at first) feel more comfortable with my decision!

Considering I've driven an 08 STI, and an 02 WRX Wagon. I like my Forte better. Why? Well it might not be as fast, but it's unique (considering I'm the only hatch in my city haha) and the handling is exceptional and comparable to a Civic SI. The warranty also makes it a nice little bundle + high mpg.

Welcome to the Forte Universe, I know you'll enjoy it. Driving isn't all about the top end ;D

But dream car wise: Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst Edition (No I will not get a Pontiac G8 it is not the same!!)
